HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-invasive technology that deeply tightens skin tissue, without surgery, with an immediate return to your activities. The targeted ultrasound waves pass through the surface layers without damaging them to act deep down: stimulating collagen production, firming the skin, redefining facial contours. 1 to 2 sessions are usually enough, with maximum effect visible 2 to 3 months after the session.

  • Forehead wrinkles, cheeks, mouth contour

Contraindications

  • Pregnancy, pacemaker
  • Active skin infections, inflammatory autoimmune conditions

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

How many HIFU sessions are needed to see results?

Details

Generally 1 to 2 sessions are enough. The maximum effect appears progressively, 2 to 3 months after the session, as the collagen production stimulated by the ultrasound builds up.

Is HIFU painful?

Details

The focused ultrasound can cause a sensation of warmth or localised tingling during the session, but the treatment is well tolerated and allows an immediate return to your activities, with no downtime.

What are the contraindications for HIFU?

Details

HIFU is not recommended during pregnancy, for pacemaker wearers, in case of active skin infection, inflammatory autoimmune disease, unstabilised epilepsy or major blood clotting disorders. A waiting period is also required after filler injections (4 to 6 weeks) or botox (10 to 15 days).

Can HIFU replace a surgical facelift?

Details

HIFU acts on the SMAS, the deep supporting structure of the face, to tighten tissue and provide a natural lifting effect, without surgery or injections. Results are more subtle and gradual than a surgical facelift, with an immediate return to your activities.
